These terms protect Simply Molded Ceramics. They are a starting point, not a lawyer’s advice. Please have a lawyer in North Carolina look them over before you take live payments.
Hello, and a few ground rules
By using this website, buying a piece, or signing up for a class, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy, Shipping, Returns, Payments, Class, and Event pages. If you do not agree, please do not order.
Simply Molded Ceramics (“the Studio,” “I,” “we”) is a small handmade pottery practice in Charlotte, NC, run by Yuliya. We sell finished pieces that are already made, and we host classes and nights out with local vendors.
Who may buy
You must be 18 or older to place an order or book a class. If you book for a guest, you are responsible for them.
We do not make custom pieces
We only sell work that is already made. We cannot make a special piece just for you. We do not take commissions, name-and-date orders, color matching, or copies of a sold piece. A class night is time in the studio, not a custom shop order.
Handmade, on purpose
Every piece is shaped by hand. Size, color, glaze, speckles, and little marks will vary. Photos are a guide, not a promise of an identical copy. Those differences are part of the work. They are not defects.
Shop pieces are lead free, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe unless a listing says otherwise. Still, treat them with care — sudden heat or cold can crack clay.
When a sale is real
A piece in your basket is not held. A sale is real only after payment goes through (QuickBooks / Intuit) and we send a note to your email. We may cancel an order for fraud, a pricing mistake, an address we cannot ship to, or if the piece is already gone. If we cancel after we were paid, we refund you.
Price and tax
Prices are in USD and can change for pieces not yet sold. Tax is added where we must collect it. Packaging and UPS are extra if you choose shipping. Local pickup in Charlotte has no packaging or shipping fee.
Photos and words on this site
Photos, words, and the name Simply Molded Ceramics belong to the Studio. Buying a mug does not mean you may copy the design to sell. Please do not use our pictures in your own shop.
As-is, with a few limits
Except where the law says we cannot, pieces and classes are sold as they are. We do not promise they will fit a special use you had in mind.
If something goes wrong, the most we owe you is the amount you paid for that piece or that class. We are not responsible for extra losses (missed gifts, extra shipping you booked, and so on). Some states do not allow these limits. Where they do not, this line does not apply.
If something is out of our hands
Kiln trouble, weather, carrier delays, illness, and other things we cannot control may slow a ship date or a class. We will write you. We are not liable for those delays beyond a refund or a new date, as the other policies say.
Talk first
Please email us and give us 30 days to try to make it right before you open a card dispute or a court claim. North Carolina law applies. Claims belong in the courts of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, unless the law says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top will change. An order you already paid follows the Terms that were up on the day you paid.
