FAQ
Do you make custom pieces?
No. I only sell pieces that are already made. If you do not see it in the shop, it is not for sale.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not exact. Each piece is handmade, so shape, color, and finish will vary a little. That is part of the work.
Are the pieces safe to use?
Yes. Shop pieces are lead free, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. Hand washing helps them last. Avoid sudden heat or cold, which can crack clay. Wash food off unglazed spots soon so they do not stain.
Do you ship?
Yes — in the US only. Shipping is paid at checkout. Fragile packaging is one fee. UPS Ground is a second fee based on your state. You may also pick up in Charlotte, NC.
What if it breaks in the mail?
Email me photos of the box, the packing, and the piece within 48 hours. I pack with extra care. If it broke in transit, I will replace it with something I have, or refund the piece.
Can I return a piece I just don’t love?
No. Because each piece is one of a kind, shop sales are final except for shipping damage or if I packed the wrong thing.
How do I pay?
Your basket comes here, then you pay through QuickBooks. I do not keep your card on this website. A piece is sold only after that payment goes through.
How do I sign up for a class?
Open Classes, tap Make-Your-Own Ceramics or Paint-Your-Own Mug, and fill in the form. Cottage nights have their own link for dates and pricing.
Can I cancel a class?
Please write me at least 24 hours before. There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours. You may give your seat to someone else.
When do I get the piece I made in class?
After it dries and is fired — often one to two weeks. I will tell you where to pick it up.
Where are you?
I am in Charlotte, NC. Class details are sent after I confirm your spot.
