Signing up

The form on this site is a request. I will write you to confirm. A seat is yours after payment.

Cancel, no-show, and a spare seat

Plans change. If you cannot come, please write me at least 24 hours before the start time.

There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the class. You may transfer the spot to someone else to take your seat. Send me their name so I know who is coming.

What class is (and is not)

In class you make or paint your own piece. I am not making a shop piece for you. Clay can crack while it dries or in the kiln. I will do my best. A remake, if I offer one, is a kindness, not a promise.

When you get your piece

Make-Your-Own work needs time to dry and fire. I will tell you when and where to pick it up — usually in a week or two, from the studio or a nearby spot we agree on.

Studio care

Clay studios are wet, dusty, and full of tools. Wear closed-toe shoes. Follow what I ask. I may ask someone who is unsafe or very drunk to leave, without a refund.

Paint and glaze should not go in anyone’s mouth. Children are welcome if an adult stays with them the whole time and can finish the piece if needed. If a child is disrupting the table, I will ask you to step out with them.

Photos and a simple release

I may take a few photos of the table for the studio page unless you ask me not to before we start.

By coming, you accept the ordinary risks of a clay studio (slips, stains, small cuts). This does not cover harm I cause on purpose or by extreme carelessness.
